THEORY
It doesn't have to be dreary!! Ok so it's not the most exciting subject for a seven year old budding rock star but I am a firm believer in the importance of a grounding in music theory. It is, of course, a requirement if you are going to take Grade Exams. However it is up to you, there are plenty of very talented musicians out there who only have the most rudimentary theory knowledge and they are earning far more than me! I'm happy to provide theory guidance if you should require it - and I'll try to make it interesting.

GRADE EXAMS
I am happy to enter you for grade exams if you wish to go down that route. All students are different and some definitely make better progress when they have the deadline of a exam date to work to. However exams are not for everyone and it's entirely up to you. I generally use either the ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall syllabuses. ABRSM is for classical guitar only whereas Trinity also have qualifications for acoustic (steel string) and electric guitar. I have an excellent record of exam passes and am happy to discuss any aspect of this subject.

PAYMENT
Preferably cash, cheque or online bank transfer but you can pay via my paypal account if you really can't manage the alternatives. Let me know what is best for you and I'll send an email with the relevant details. Payment is in advance either at the end of the previous lesson or, sometimes, particularly when parents are paying for children, it is more convienient to prepay for a number of lessons eg: Half a term (6 Lessons) or a whole term (12 Lessons)

GIFT CARDS/CERTIFICATES
I get regular requests from people wishing to buy a few lessons as a gift for birthday's, Christmas etc. An excellent present, I'll send you a very nice gift card certificate with what ever crazy wording you would like.
